Cancellation
Life happens — the policy is meant to be reasonable.
The aim is fairness on both sides: protecting time that has been set aside, without penalising families for genuine disruption.
Rearranging a lesson
With reasonable notice, a lesson can be moved to another slot that week where one is available, at no extra cost. The more notice you can give, the more likely a rearrangement is possible.
Short-notice cancellations
Lessons cancelled at very short notice may still be charged, because the time and preparation have already been committed. Any notice period is agreed with you before tutoring begins so there are no surprises.
Illness and emergencies
Genuine illness and family emergencies are handled sensibly. I will not charge for a lesson missed because a child is unwell.
If I need to cancel
If I have to cancel, you are never charged, and I'll offer an alternative slot as soon as possible.
Pausing or stopping
You can pause tutoring — over exams, holidays or for any other reason — or stop altogether with reasonable notice. Only completed lessons are ever payable. See the payment & billing policy.
