Tutoring agreement

What we each agree to.

A short, plain summary of how tutoring works in practice. It's confirmed with you before lessons begin.

The service

One-to-one mathematics tutoring provided personally by Joseph Eno, online or in person, at an agreed frequency and rate. Lessons are never passed to another tutor.

What I commit to

  • Preparing for each session based on your child's current needs.
  • Teaching the full agreed lesson time, punctually.
  • Giving you honest updates on progress, including when it isn't going well.
  • Working within clear safeguarding practice at all times.
  • Charging only for lessons that actually took place.

What I ask of you

  • A quiet space and, for online lessons, a working device and connection.
  • As much notice as possible if a lesson needs to move.
  • Payment of the monthly statement within the agreed period.
  • Letting me know about anything affecting your child's learning or wellbeing.

Scheduling

Lessons are usually held at a regular weekly slot. Changes are arranged with the parent or guardian, not directly with the student. See the cancellation policy for notice periods.

Billing

Completed hours are recorded through the month and invoiced at month end, payable by bank transfer. Full detail is in the payment & billing policy.

Ending tutoring

Either of us can end the arrangement at any time with reasonable notice. Any completed lessons up to that point remain payable; nothing further is owed.

Expectations

I will always be honest about what tutoring can and cannot achieve. No specific grade or outcome is guaranteed.
